Marketing & communications
In several of the production assignments I’ve worked on, the focus has been on communications. I’m familiar with external communications management and for example working with the common social media & website platforms. Project management
Project management is one of the cornerstones of the production knowhow that I have broad experience of. I’ve managed both entire productions and specific sectors in various contexts of art production. I’m fluent in coordinating for example funding, venues, technical matters and logistics. I’ve also worked as a team lead. Project oriented working is generally very familiar to me.
Internationality
One of my professional focal points is internationality. I’ve worked locally with international artists quite much for example by coordinating festival artist guests. In addition to Finnish I use English fluently. I’ve also done an Erasmus+ student exchange in Norway.
Audience development
My knowhow i audience development is focused on exhibition work. I’ve planned and implemented tours, student visits and side events.
Knowledge of the art field & theory
My aim is to work closely with art contents in production and if and when possible in curating. I’ve broadened my knowhow with studies in Art History, Art Studies and Gender Studies. I’ve also done process based studies in contemporary arts. I’m interested in interdisciplinary arts and works that challenge the traditional borders of art forms.
Forecasting
In my thesis of Cultural Management I focused in multilocality, and vitality in the context of regional development. With my group we realised the work for Central Karelia Development Company KETI Ltd as part of “Meille maalle” project, funded by European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. We used forecasting as the theoretical framework.
Work experiences
Production Assistent – Moving in November festival
In my assignment at Moving in November festival in 2022 I dove into both contemporary dance and art festival work gaining tons of new experience and knowhow. My tasks mainly focused on coordinating the 50+ international artist guests with logistics and their overall visit. I also coordinated the festival’s traditional after-performance soup gatherings and assisted in communications as well as general festival tasks.
Producer – Runokuvaa exhibitions, Levoteatteri
I’ve been a member of the multidisciplinary artist group Levoteatteri since 2021. During that time I’ve produced and co-curated five of the all together nine Runokuvaa exhibitions. The concept brings together various formats of textual and visual arts through an open call. Every exhibition is held at a new venue in Helsinki. One of the editions I produced was a special one, exhibiting works from children. I’ve also created a brand new visual image for each exhibition and implemented it in marketing.
CMO – METKAn Speksi
I acted as the CMO for METKAn Speksi 2022 planning the marketing and leading a team of six volunteers. I coordinated the external communications from recruitment to post-marketing, also creating content myself.
Exhibition Assistant – Nastola Summer Exhibition
I worked at Nastola Summer Exhibition in 2021 coordinating social media communications, exhibition tours and school visits. I also created audiovisual and graphic content for marketing quite extensively. Read more about the communications here.
