Art projects
My artistic work focuses on cultural connections and societal phenomenons. I’ve mainly worked with street photography and on other projects with lens based media. In addition, I’ve searched for ways to combine it with other mediums. I’m intrigued by spacial, participatory and performative dimensions.
Photographic projects
Elegia
This (or my) elegia observes thought and movement as parallel elements. A picture is always a stopped moment and a fragment separated from its context. What’s left out of it for us to surmise? The subjects consist of both captivating people and form-based urban motifs, portraying moments that would likely otherwise be ignored.
Urbanisme
Urbanisme is a series collected from lengths of film exposed in cities all over Europe. It poses moments of urban life that reflect the idea of a city as a meeting point for local, global and rural cultures. The cityscape is of course ever changing and thus the project naturally continuous.
Oculus poeticus
Oculus poeticus meaning the poetic eye is a reference to the my romanticising visual perception and intuitive expression. As a photographer I’m used to eying the surroundings in a certain way, paying attention to details, things that stand out and the evanescence of fleeting moments.
L’Heure Bleue – Sininen hetki
Between night and day lies a passing moment in which time seems to stop and the mind wanders. The series expresses this universal and timeless state of mind in wistful pictures.
La Danse des Albatros
La Danse des Albatros is a series of portraits from throughout my years behind the lens. The set is constructed with perspective as a core thematic element.

Vapaapudotus
Vapaapudotus is a video work about perception and stream of mind. It combines poetry and analog moving image. With the cacophonic soundscape and the rough visuality it portrays the unclarity of consciousness.

Le Discours is an installation work about the self-image forming around the perception of other people.
Hommes: La Nouvelle Collection
Hommes: La Nouvelle Collection is about the construction of identity of the young adult generation. The project was originally created as a set of two artist books.
Performative projects
Cosmic Flora: Questscape Madness – Levoteatteri: The Sidequest
Cosmic Flora was an immersive performative work based in plants, artificial intelligence and gaming. The production was realised horizontally within a small working group of five. I was mainly working with scenography and performing. The production premiered in KokoTeatteri in Helsinki in July 2023.
METKAn Speksi 2023: Kultistin kutsu
Speksi is a tradition of immersive theatre among university students in Finland, originating from medieval Sweden. For the 2023 production of METKAn Speksi I worked in set design and as a stagehand. I also had an uncredited role of a hooded murderer.
